Description

Dedicated to :icondamianhandy: the self-proclaimed "Joe Kendo of XNA", now sadly retired. Thanks for all the weapons!I salute you!
yay My first model release! It is only fitting that it would be of my favorite handgun ever, the Beretta Model 92FS (or just 92F nowadays minus the S). Even as a kid, I couldn't help but notice that in all the really good action movies, the hero invariably carried this handsome Italian-crafted pistol. Especially all the great John Woo movies. :shoot:
:ponder: When I started getting into XNA/XPS, there were a few Beretta models floating about (mostly from the Resident Evil games) but I felt that none of them really did the Beretta 9mm proper justice. So a few months back, my brother and I set out to craft the most exquisite-looking Beretta for XNA that we possibly could. What we did was basically download every Beretta model we could get our hands on, mostly Counter Strike models from CSS GameBanana, and tore them all apart. Then we picked the pieces we liked most (barrel, slide, frame, hammer, magazine, etc) and molded it into a single masterpiece we finally felt worthy of this beautiful weapon. Then we took it further! ;-) (Wink)

Building Blocks Perfectionist that he is, my kid brother edited the model into its various stages of use. Idle, cocked-and-locked, firing and empty. He even threw in a full and an empty magazine as a bonus. All models are .OBJ files, compatible with XNALara and XPS. It is only a Beta release though because we are currently working on adding bones the main model, so you can play with just a single model instead of multiple models. We expect a fully poseable version with bones to be done shortly. Sweating a little...

CREDITS:
Practically every modeller who ever released a Beretta 92F over at CSS GameBanana, impossible to credit individually. Sorry.

I think that about covers it. Oh, I also added preview images for the latest "Countdown" edition of XPS to help you choose which models you want. Also because all the cool kids are doing it right now. Hope you enjoy my first release and look forward to an updated version in the near future. Until then, take care! OMG MOAR POEMS!
